Weybridge Ladies Amateur Rowing Club
The Weybridge Ladies Regatta is held annually in late May or early June. The regatta is very popular with the rowing community, particularly as it provides a safe course (Desborough Cut) and a pleasant environment for juniors and novices to test their racing skills. It is always a great day and it is the help from members and other volunteers that makes it all possible.
The racing takes place over three 'waves'. Usually starting at 08.30 and finishing around 18.00 with breaks around noon and 3pm. (The exact timing is determined by the number of entries and will be published after the draw which takes place one week ahead of racing).
Last year we played host to 23 visiting clubs from the Thames region who took part in over 150 races on the day.
We have many spectators, parent supporters, volunteers and the passers by on the towpath who see our event in full swing.
WLARC Regatta offers free entry to see the many races during the day. We invite you to come along to cheer for your local teams. The WLARC Regatta is a fantastic day out for family and friends.
Bring a chair or a picnic blanket, and enjoy the WLARC Regatta from the banks of the River Thames, which offers a great setting for the WLARC Regatta.
Make sure you also visit the food and drink stall at Elmbridge Canoe Club where friendly volunteers from WLARC will offer a wide range of food, tea/coffee and homemade goodies.
All funds raised go toward the running of WLARC.
Thanks for your support!
The WLARC Regatta is a key event in the local rowing calendar. We attract competitive entries from rowing clubs in Weybridge, Walton, Moseley, Guildford, Richmond, Kingston, Henley and many others.
Held on the banks of the Thames it is a great spectacle for supporters of the entrants as well as general public strolling along the river.
A great day out, races are run throughout the day with a variety of categories to enter. The Regatta is a very well respected and renowned event, a great activity to be associated with.
